Arizona homes face intense heat, monsoon weather, dust, and seasonal temperature changes. Our seasonal maintenance guide highlights practical tasks that help protect your home, improve safety, and catch small concerns before they become larger repairs.
Spring: March through May

Home Rescue members receive the seasonal checklist that applies at the time of each scheduled visit. Tasks may vary based on home condition, accessibility, safety, and plan level.

Spring Maintenance
March through May
Prepare your home for rising temperatures and monsoon season.
Set ceiling fans for cooling
Lubricate the garage door
Service up to two window or door tracks
Clear accessible window weep holes
Clear visible debris from drainage paths
Tighten accessible gate fasteners
Service up to 16 feet of weatherstripping
Seal up to 8 feet of minor exterior gaps
Remove visible drain debris
Spring service focuses on accessible preventive maintenance. Repairs, replacement parts, damaged components, and specialty access are billed separately with approval.
Summer Maintenance
June through August
Focus on indoor airflow, ventilation, and high use household systems during Arizona’s hottest months.
Clean an accessible dryer vent
Clean the range hood filter
Clean accessible bathroom exhaust covers
Remove visible drain debris
Dryer vent cleaning is limited to vents that can be safely accessed and serviced with standard equipment. Roof access, inaccessible ductwork, damaged connections, and extensive blockages are excluded. HVAC service is not included.
Fall Maintenance
September through November
Prepare your home for cooler temperatures and address wear from the summer and monsoon season.
Set ceiling fans for cooler weather
Flush the water heater when safe
Replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries
Install customer provided hose bib covers
Service up to 16 feet of weatherstripping
Clean up to two window or door tracks
Clear accessible monsoon debris
Seal up to 8 feet of minor exterior gaps
Remove visible drain debris
Standard caulk and weatherstripping within the stated limits are included. Batteries, hose bib covers, replacement parts, and specialty materials are not included. Water heaters are flushed only when their condition, connections, and accessibility make the service reasonably safe.
Winter Maintenance
December through February
Address indoor wear, drafts, and frequently used fixtures during the cooler months.
Clean accessible faucet aerators
Clean up to two removable drain stoppers
Complete up to 8 feet of minor wet area caulking
Adjust accessible door seals
Tighten or adjust up to four interior doors, cabinets, drawers, or hardware items
Evaluate accessible draft concerns
Adjust an accessible door sweep when appropriate
Remove visible drain debris
Drain service is limited to visible debris and stoppers that can be removed without plumbing disassembly. Snaking, chemicals, trap removal, clog removal, replacement parts, and plumbing repairs are excluded. Draft service is limited to minor accessible adjustments and sealing. This does not include window replacement, insulation, or structural repairs.
